Investment Management Professionals Induction (IMPI) Programme (NQF
level 6)
- “Bridging the Gap” between the theory learned at university and the realities of the investment environment.
- Draws deeply on the experience of industry practitioners who will present on their areas of expertise.
- Aimed at a group of maximum 20 participants, who:
- are employed by an ASISA member;
- are new recruits into the investment management industry; or are
moving into the industry from other disciplines e.g. engineers.
- are moving from another department in the investment management firm e.g. investment administration staff.
- 26 days spread over 9 months with two 10-day intensive periods (20
days) taking place during the initial 3 months followed by a series of one day per month
sessions.
- This programme is accredited with the BANKSETA.
- The first IMPI programme commenced in 2008 with the inaugural IMPI
graduation ceremony taking place on 1st September 2009. Three candidates
were successful in achieving the IMPI certificate as well as the
National Certificate in Financial Markets and Instruments.
